Fine Arts

The Arts are nurtured as a way to glorify God and to bless His people.

"Non nobis Domine: Not unto us, but unto God be the glory."

Catholic Fine Arts Education originates with the acknowledgement that each of us has the capacity for thinking and living artistically. It is the belief that God has blessed each of us with gifts and talents which he expects us to develop and use to the best of our ability. Through our expressed creative endeavors we become active participants in God’s creation.

Fine Arts Education is an valueable part of our school's curriculum. The arts allows children to express themselves aesthetically. Fine arts support a balance between the intellectual side of the brain and the artistic side of the brain. As a universal language, music and art can be interpreted and understood to some extent by all.

Through art and music education, teachers and students can come to identify their talents and gifts, and respond to the beauty of God’s world. It is through the arts we learn to appreciate the creative talents of artists in many places, cultures and time periods.
